Deepinder Bedi

Go Green because

On account of World Environment Day, lets do our little bit to make our environment an even better place to live. Modernisation has made our lives a lot easier, but has taken a toll on the environment. It is our duty, as a responsible citizen to ensure that our coming generations are able to live healthy lives.

Tulip Go GREEN is our way of saying we care. Everyone amongst us needs to work together to this extremely important exercise.

Green is about life. When one talks (or thinks) about the outdoors, one thinks of blue for water and green for the trees, plants, flowers and the fauna as well. Green signifies the opposite of dust, pollution, noise, etc!

More of Green means a less stress free life, better health and well-being

My pledge

I will make conscious attempts to help others appreciate nature at every opportunity. At the same time, I will evaluate what opportunities I have missed in contributing to the environment and will take corrective actions accordingly

The world has a fixed amount of natural resources - some of which are already depleted. So as population growth greatly strains our finite resources, there are fewer resources available. If we intend to leave our children and grandchildren with the same standard of living we have enjoyed, we must preserve the foundation of that standard of living. We save for college educations, orthodontia, and weddings, but what about saving clean air, water, fuel sources and soil for future generations?

My pledge

With Solar POPs, Tulip Goes Green

In my early days at Tulip about a couple of years back I was engaged in understanding customer issues. Electricity failure at our POPs was amongst the few recurring causes of interruption in connectivity. Standby generators are huge fuel guzzlers besides being highly polluting and requiring sizeable maintenance.

I floated the idea of solar back up. An experimental solar module was installed at our HO stationed POP. And now it is a success and in use at several places I understand.

Tulip is going really green like no other service provider in the industry.

Going green is not just a matter policy but is the only choice left with humanity lest it perishes faster than we can imagine.

So go green guys in every possible way - get fuel efficient small cars, cycle your way to places in your neighbourhood which is healthy too, stop smoking, stop excessive use of paper like tissue/ fresh ones AND LET'S EXPLORE MORE WAYS TO TURN TULIP EVEN GREENER.

My pledge

To lead an ecologically responsible lifestyle - tips on which are popular and readily available.

On World’s Environment Day!!!

Rakesh Manhas

Go Green because

As without green ,Glacier melt will initially increase flooding, but later decrease the fresh water supply within 20-30 years as glacier recede. Effect of this reduction, along with a higher demand for fresh water, will impact more than a billion people by 2050.

There is risk of substantial biodiversity loss due to species extincties .

My pledge

1) Take shorter showers to reduce water use. This will lower your water and heating bills too.

2) Unplug appliances when you're not using them .

3) Use a water filter to purify tap water instead of buying bottled water. Not only is bottled water expensive, but it generates large amounts of container waste .

JAI KRISHAN

Mother Earth is our only home and our only hope. We don't have the luxury to buy another Planet Earth Home and our only choice is to protect it.

Let us all work together to save environment and natural resources to leave behind us a place that our generations to come will happily live in and not just merely survive.. Eat Green, Go Green, Live Life Full Size

Go vegan ways.

Source of our food has a lot to do with what it means to our planet.

It takes 16 pounds of grains to produce a pound of flesh. If you have been eating half a pound of meat at any time or regularity mind you, you are swallowing down 8 pounds of grains each time, whereas you don't need more than a single pound a meal.

Going veg also means closer to nature and more healthy, our biology and research prove that. And it simply means least affected by current lifestyle problems like stress and a longer healthy life, for you age slower.

So guys, eat green, go green, age slower, live life full size. Eat only green to be ecologically less burdensome.

From BBC News: Plastic debris is found inside dead animals Sand samples analysed from shorelines across the world have all been found to contain traces of plastic. British scientists have evidence that plastic is being eaten by animals throughout the food chain. Its side effects can be catastrophic.
